Hi there!
The short version: I’m a content designer and writer based in Berlin. I create UX content with curiosity, empathy, and a decidedly analytic outlook. I’m especially good at asking tough questions, exploring collaborative solutions, and engaging stakeholders across teams and functions.
The slightly longer version: Like lots of UX writers and content designers, my career path has been long and winding. After teaching yoga and attending births as a doula for several years, I went back to school for an MFA in creative writing. It turns out that writing essays doesn’t pay the bills, so in 2016 I made my way into content writing and management.
When that led me to UX writing and content design, I knew I was on the right path. I’m a writer who loves strategy, spreadsheets, and style guides; content design helps me bring together my creative and analytical sides.
Guiding users through digital experiences also helps me put to use the so-called “soft” skills I honed for many years as a birth doula and yoga teacher. In those roles, I learned to listen deeply and empathize in some of the most intense moments of a person’s life. That’s a unique background in the tech world, and I’m a better writer, communicator, and collaborator for it.
