Creative work: literary magazine and personal essays

Everything else: As well as being a content designer, I’m also a creative writer. Most of my work these days can be found on Medium.

What it’s all about: As a female writing “confessional” work, I saw a need for more publications publishing this kind of writing, which is often overlooked and undervalued in the literary world. After grad school, I co-founded an online literary magazine that featured the work of female, trans and non-binary people. We ran the magazine for two years and published pieces by over 75 writers.

What I did: I handled all the organizational and administrative aspects of the magazine, including heading up contact with all our writers and managing our social media presence. In addition, I created our submissions, reading, and publication process for selecting which works we chose to publish.
